OF CYPRUS
WHAT ARE YOUR TRAINING REQUIREMENTS?
PRIVATE PILOTS LICENCE
(PPL-A)
The PPL course consists of 9 theoretical topics which are taught by largely home based computer training, followed by classroom sessions with one of our ground instructors, before the written exams.
On the practical side, students are required to complete a total of 45 hours of flight training, and can normally expect to fly their first solo flight after around 10 hours. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded with a Private Pilots Licence, with a class rating for single-engine piston land aircraft.
The timeline to complete this course can vary, however we normally see students ready to pass their final skills test after 3 to 6 months.
Once this certification has been obtained, pilots can add additional ratings to their licence with one of our post certification courses.
NIGHT RATING
QUALIFICATION
The Night Rating is normally the first course completed after the PPL. This qualification consists of a ground instruction component, followed by 5 hours of night flying with one of our flight instructors.
Upon completion pilots will be able to operate within the hours of darkness, adding further flexibility to their licence.
GROUND TRAINING
Our crew of ground instructors are always available to provide additional classroom training for the PPL theoretical examinations.
HOUR BUILDING
&
PRIVATE HIRE
All our aircraft are available for hourly rental for licensed pilots wishing to build flight experience or simply for those wishing to fly for pleasure.
Currently we offer blocks of 50 and 100 hours, however please do consult us if you would like a tailored flight hour block.
MULTI-ENGINE RATING (MEP)
As of October 2021 we will be offering multiengine training on our new Tecnam P2006T. We will update our page soon once we have confirmed course availability.
